A Happy New Year! to all of my Asian friends.
By chinese luna calendar, 18th Sunday is a day of new year.
Also we had such date of new year in Japan for long time ago...around 130 year before.
Would like to tell to my Thai friends, " Sawadee pee mai krub " ( happy new year )

-- Salapao --
Her name is " Lek ", working at near the Lumpini park.
Office is in a 30th floor of skyscraper.
Faced to " Rama 4 " road, it has a really nice view from the window, she loves that.
Friday afternoon, she got a call from her mother to buy " Salapao " at famous shop for tomorrow (the last day of the year).
Because, all family member will come to meet at parents home for gathering.
There are many preparation for the celebration.
That's why mother's asked her, it was a natural course.
After finished her job, she was hurry to go to one famous " Salapao " shop.
" Salapao " is a dumplings in chinese cooking : appearance is white and soft like baby skin.
Many kinds of sources are available, tipical one is vegitalble with minced poke called " moo sab ".
Serve in steamed.
Drive to the shop in the evening of Bangkok.
When she arrived to famous " Salapao " shop near the Sathorn road, it was already sold out...
" What a pity!! I'm so unlucky "
Of course next day is a last day of the year.
Many people love to have it...
It's need to find " Salapao " for her mother and family.
So, she asked to the shop stuff ... " I shoud find it to our family~~!! "
They told her, some Salapao that still left at their branch.
Do you know?? ... In Bankok, it's a very famous for heavy traffic jam.
Also there are many speed bike on the road, called " motorcy "
And rough driving green buses in a traffic.
She always drive carefully ( maybe she is proud of her safe driving) ...
Just now, one " motorcy " has passed so close to the car... almost crushed!
" Ummmm .... only 8 cm ... very close... it's so scary na! ".
Maybe much faster to the way to Rachadapisek on foot.
But nobody gonna walk on the sidewalk to Rachadapisek ...
( it's really not comfortalbe to walk in Bangkok : can't cross big road, too hot, etc )
So, she took so long time to another " Salapao " shop.
Arrived to shop at Rachadapisek....
" ... phew!! .... finally going to get it!! " she said in a car with smiled.
But !! she found, anything left .... all Salapao has sold out!!!
She has almost got black out her sight!
" What's wrong !!??... I've never do bad things naaaaa ..!! "
Already it's late at night, no chance to find any nice gourmet " Salapao " .
She slamed the car door ... back to the driving sheet..then grip the steering wheel.
" Uuuuuu " big sound of exhaust has came from her mouse.
Oh! ... she also couldn't have her dinner, and she have to do many things to do.
So, maybe she hasn't enough time to sleep tonight.
No time to watch tv.3ch too ...
Hopefully she's got a dinner.
Anyway I wish, she will get a good next year.
And have sanuk(nice) chat in the internet too.
Why??
She is one of my very good freind from Thailand.
